Meet Betsy
Betsy's passion for al things pretty and sweet started early on - Easy Bake Oven early to be precise. On a very special Christmas morning in 1992, she received her very own pink and purple lightbulb oven and a dream was born.
Betsy attended business school at Siena Heights University and became a certified pastry chef at The Art Institue of Michigan. She traveled to New York City where she honed her craft at the iconic cupcake shop. Upon her return, Betsy studied under the talented cake designer and previous owner of A Piece O' Cake. A year later, the oven mitts were passed down and Betsy became the owner of her very own bakery.
Betsy's cake design aesthetic pairs tailored designs with meticulous attention to fondant and floral details to produce cakes that are perfectly polished. As an award-winning baker, Betsy spends her days creating one-of-a-kind edible art for Lansing's most fabulous couples and events.
After years of baking, Betsy has found that her favorite moments are seeing a couple's life and love evolve over the years. She loves when her cakes get to be a part of a couple's journey after the wedding day - an anniversary, a baby on the way, and birthdays as their families grow. To be a part of her clients' happily-ever-after stories makes for the sweetest days.
