One bite and you will know that our cakes are not only a visual masterpiece, but a culinary delight. Every cake we create is custom-designed and made fresh to order. We use only the highest-quality ingredients, so you can be sure the flavor of your cake will be second to none. No one can resist a moist slice of our raspberry swirl cake! Chocolate fans will adore our Kahlua Fudge layers filled with rich dark chocolate Ganache. The flavors are so wonderful, you'll have a hard time choosing!
Planning Your Wedding Cake
The first step is to call us and set up a personal consultation. At your one-on-one consultation, you can view sample cakes in our gallery, sample many flavors, and begin to plan your cake. We design cakes that encompass every detail of your special day, so plan to bring samples, photos, or color swatches. We will use your dress, colors, flowers and your style as our inspiration.
Cake prices vary widely based on the intricacy of the design, number of servings and other variables. Before your appointment, please think about your cake budget, keeping in mind that our wedding cakes start at $4.50/slice. That way we will be able to design a cake that is perfect for you! Consultations are scheduled Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9:30am-4:00 p.m. and 9:00 am-11:00 a.m. on Saturdays. Please call ahead to schedule your consultation—we book up quickly!
Delivery Accommodations
Our cakes travel like a dream! From Mackinac Island to sunny Florida (yes, our cakes have been there!). Do not let distance keep you from indulging in one of our culinary creations. We are happy to deliver wedding and specialty cakes outside of the East Lansing area.
Please note there is NOT an additional charge for cakes delivered to the Grand Rapids area. Contact us for delivery fees for other cities.
Also note that our cakes are delivered by the owners of A Piece O' Cake, ensuring the safety and quality of your cake from beginning to end.
Special Event Cakes
Like our wedding cakes, each event cake is unique. You will be amazed at what we can create for you! From baseball mitts to baby buggies to the Mackinac Bridge or the Eiffel Tower, we can turn almost any vision into a sweet and delicious masterpiece. A consultation is not necessary, but we advise calling or stopping by on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
Gluten-Free Cakes
No matter what your diet, gluten-free doesn't mean going without! A Piece O' Cake has been creating high-quality gluten-free cakes since 2004. These cakes are perfect for any happy occasion! We understand that gluten-free products require special attention. There is no worry about contamination because we do not bake our normal cakes while we bake gluten-free goods. We ask for a week's notice so we can plan accordingly. Our customers can be confident in our delicious and safe goodies, however we must advise, we are not a strictly gluten-free facility.
